FAQ

Do I need a referral to schedule an appointment?

In most cases, a referral is not required to schedule an evaluation. However, some insurance plans may require a physician’s referral for coverage. Our team can help you determine what your plan requires.

What conditions do you treat?

We specialize in adult medical speech-language pathology, including swallowing (dysphagia), speech, voice, language, and cognitive-communication disorders related to neurological, oncologic, and complex medical conditions.

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first visit will include a comprehensive evaluation of your swallowing or communication concerns. We will review your medical history, complete clinical assessments, and discuss your goals so we can design a personalized treatment plan.

Do you offer instrumental swallow testing such as FEES?

Yes. When clinically indicated, we provide Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) to directly visualize swallowing function and guide precise treatment recommendations.

Do you offer telehealth appointments?

Yes. We offer telehealth services across Ohio for many evaluations and therapy sessions, allowing you to receive specialized care from the comfort of your home when appropriate.

Do you accept insurance?

We currently accept Medicare and offer private pay options. We are actively contracting with additional insurance plans.

If your plan is out-of-network, we will review your benefits, estimate your coverage, and explain your financial responsibility before you begin care.

Can you check my insurance benefits for me?

Yes. Our team will verify your benefits, determine in-network or out-of-network coverage, and provide a clear explanation of costs before your first visit. However, we strongly encourage you to also verify your own benefits to check for discrepancy.

How long are therapy sessions?

Session length and frequency are based on your diagnosis, medical needs, and therapy goals. We offer standard and intensive therapy programs depending on your rehabilitation needs.

Where are you located?

We provide in-person services in central Ohio and telehealth services across Ohio.
