Founder & Clinical Director

Dr. Veena Kallambettu is an award-winning, board-certified swallowing specialist and medical speech-language pathologist dedicated to the care of adults with complex swallowing, speech, voice, and cognitive-communication disorders. She brings a rare combination of advanced clinical expertise and research-driven insight to every patient interaction, with a focus on delivering precise, meaningful outcomes.

Dr. Kallambettu has been recognized for excellence in both clinical care and research by leading organizations including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Dysphagia Research Society, and Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Her honors include national awards for clinical achievement and research contributions, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Her clinical expertise centers on dysphagia (swallowing disorders), particularly in medically complex populations such as individuals with head and neck cancer, neurological conditions, and airway-related disorders. She has extensive experience in instrumental swallowing assessment, including Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and in developing targeted, evidence-based rehabilitation programs designed to improve safety, efficiency, and quality of life.

What distinguishes Dr. Kallambettu’s approach is her emphasis on precision and personalization. She integrates advanced clinical tools, objective measurement, and biofeedback-driven techniques to better understand each patient’s needs and to guide therapy with intention. This allows for care that is not only evidence-based, but also highly individualized and responsive to progress.

At the heart of her work is a deep commitment to the patient and caregiver experience. Dr. Kallambettu believes that excellent care goes beyond diagnosis and treatment—it includes clear communication, thoughtful education, and partnership with patients and families at every step. Her goal is to ensure that individuals feel informed, supported, and confident as they navigate recovery.

Through REN Integrated Therapies, Dr. Kallambettu has created a practice that reflects her core values: clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care.

Dr. Kallambettu’s approach is grounded in three principles:

Expertise matters.
Complex conditions require advanced training and clinical precision.

Care should be individualized.
No two patients—and no two recovery paths—are the same.

Patients deserve clarity and partnership.
Understanding your condition is a key part of meaningful recovery.

A Personal Note

I founded REN Integrated Therapies to create the kind of care I would want for my own family—thoughtful, precise, and grounded in both science and compassion. My goal is to help each person not just improve, but truly regain confidence in their ability to eat, speak, and connect.
