Our Clinical Swallowing Evaluation is a thorough assessment of your ability to swallow safely and efficiently. We review your medical history, observe swallowing function with a variety of foods and liquids, and assess strength, coordination, and airway protection. This evaluation helps identify swallowing impairments and guides personalized care planning.
Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES)
When indicated, we perform a Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) to directly visualize your swallowing anatomy and function in real time. A small camera is passed through the nose to observe the throat and vocal mechanism while you eat and drink, providing precise diagnostic information to optimize your treatment plan.
